"Tell the chef, the beer is on me."
Danogborn.com cuts straight to the point. It’s refreshing to see a site like this (not a personal or agency portfolio site). Dan’s blog says a lot about the aesthetic that he wants to present, the choice of language and the… well, if you’ll pardon the term, “manliness” of the graphical treatments and the focused content all give a clear indication of this site’s intended audience and purpose. IMHO its a little overstated but the photography is nice and if you read through his blog entries, some fascinating content is there just waiting to be discovered.
I really like the interactions and response of the page when navigating around this site. The fly out content boxes for the Dr’s bio’s are pretty cool. Normally I don’t like to hide info like that but in this case I think it’s super practical and a perfect use for that type of thing. I also really like the smooth timing of the way the javascript brings you down to the targeted section you’ve chosen. Overall really nice site here. Makes most veterinarian websites look super lame in comparison.
Fun idea on this site, and fun design too. I like the illustration of the guy in the chair, pretty cool. The split design, using the stripe down the middle of the page give it a nice visual focus to help drive your eye down the page really fast. It’s a good focus point too.
My favorite diagnosis so far: “You find relationships difficult to sustain as you whisper ‘sweet nothings’ through the medium of scream.” - fun stuff.

"I'd love to help kickstart continued development! And 0 EUR/month really does make fiscal sense too... maybe I'll even get a shirt?" (there will be limited edition shirts for two and other goodies for each supporter as soon as we sold the 200)
